Privacy Policy for Scan360

This Privacy Policy explains how Scan360 ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our PDF scanning application available on Google Play. We built Scan360 to work primarily on your device, and we are committed to being transparent about the data the App accesses and how it is used.

1. Information We Access

Scan360 does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect or store your personal identity information (such as name, email address, or phone number) on our servers.

To provide its core functionality, the App requests the following device permissions:

Camera — used to scan documents and capture images that are converted into PDF files.
Storage / Files and Media — used to save scanned PDF files to your device and to let you select existing images or files for scanning or conversion.
Location — Used to get location for Timestamp.
Notifications — Used to send notifications to user.

All scanned documents, images, and generated PDF files are stored locally on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or have access to the content of your scanned documents. We do not operate any cloud storage or backend server that receives your files.

2. Advertising

Scan360 displays advertisements through Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, AdMob and its partners may collect and process certain information automatically, which can include:

Device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID)
IP address and approximate (coarse) location
Device information (model, operating system version, language settings)
Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, ad performance)

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and is used to show relevant ads and prevent ad fraud. We do not have direct access to this data ourselves beyond aggregated, anonymized performance reports.

You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings (Android Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization") or by adjusting your Google Account ad settings at adssettings.google.com.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not require or collect account registration data.
We do not collect or store the content of your scanned documents on any server.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We do not access your contacts, call logs, or messages.

5. Data Storage and Security

Because scanned files are stored locally on your device, the security of that data depends in part on your device's own security settings (such as screen lock and storage encryption). If you uninstall the App or clear its storage/cache, locally saved scan data within the App's storage may be permanently deleted.

6. Children's Privacy

Scan360 is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising shown in the App is served via Google AdMob's standard settings, not a child-directed configuration.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Since the App does not maintain user accounts or server-side personal data, there is no account data for us to delete on request. You can manage or delete the data stored locally by the App at any time by:

Deleting individual scans/PDFs within the App
Clearing the App's storage via Android Settings → Apps → Scan360 → Storage → Clear Storage
Uninstalling the App

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights regarding data processed by our advertising partner; please refer to Google's privacy policy and ad settings linked above to exercise those rights.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's functionality or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
